What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- Maintenance. For long-term maintenance employees the LOU pays vacation by years of service (6.000): 6% for up to three years, 7% after three, 8% after seven, 9% after ten and 10% after twelve, a break in service of more than 90 days starting the count again. The app pays 6% for everyone (CAM's stubs); past three years add the difference yourself, 1% of wages a step (about $52 a week at 7% on a 7&7 of twelves).
- Maintenance. 1.503 i–iii let the night premium be spread over every hour of the year ($1.84 an hour on a 7&7 instead of $3.50 on night hours only); the app pays it the 1.503 iv way, so a single cheque on an alternating schedule like T can differ while the year's total doesn't; and on a night on-day the app adds the $3.50 to every hour, overtime past the shift included, where 1.503 iv pays it on straight-time hours only ($3.50 an hour high past the 12th hour, and on a day off worked at night).
- Construction (ICI). Past 10 h the app can't tell a missed scheduled break from the missed overtime meal, so the first count pays the 14.05 half hour at time and a half (14.05 owes the rate of the hours around it, double on a 12 h day) and the app adds the 16.03a $40 and ½ h at straight time once; if only the overtime meal was missed the app is ½ h at time and a half high.
Enter your own hours in the Boilermaker Cheque app: it applies these rates, the overtime and holiday rules, dues and tax, and keeps a year of cheques. Free for a month.
