What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- Irving Oil / Saint John LNG (GPMA), long-term maintenance. The calculator changes the premium a whole week at a time, so the $4.25 starts with the week of July 5 2026 (25¢ an hour short on July 1–4 2026 nights).
- Irving Oil / Saint John LNG (GPMA), short-term and turnarounds. The calculator changes the premium a whole week at a time, so the $4.25 starts with the week of July 5 2026 (25¢ an hour short on July 1–4 2026 nights).
- Irving Oil / Saint John LNG (GPMA), short-term and turnarounds. The application form pays it 'on a pro-rated basis at sixteen dollars ($16.00) an hour up to a maximum of ten (10) hours per day' ($20 an hour up to 8 on an 8-hour day), in full when there's no work or bad weather; the calculator pays $160 for each day you tick, so on a short day leave LOA off and put the pro-rated amount in the week's travel or other tax-free allowance box.
- NB Intermittent NMA (Irving, Scoudouc, LNG), long-term. On scheduled overtime (Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) the meal is due 'when overtime work exceeds eight (8) hours'; the calculator uses 10 h every day. On a 10 h shift with the two paid half-hour breaks (16.100 ii), a break not given is 30 minutes more at time and a half, double on an overtime day (Saturday, Sunday, a holiday or the off weekday): count it under the day too; past 10 h the first one counted is the meal above. You're paid for a break only if you stay at least 2 h past it, unless you said at the start of the shift that you were leaving early (16.100 iii). On a 5×8 the count is the meal rule only.

The calculator changes the premium a whole week at a time, so the $4.25 starts with the week of July 5 2026 (25¢ an hour short on July 1–4 2026 nights). A shift must be scheduled for at least 3 consecutive days, or the hours outside the regular day are overtime (16.200 e).

- NB Power NMA (Point Lepreau and other NB Power plants). Point Lepreau's afternoon shift runs Sunday to Thursday with the Sunday 'paid at the straight time rate' (a Monday holiday is then observed on that Sunday); the calculator pays Sunday hours double with no premium, about $336 too much for an 8 h journeyperson Sunday.

On scheduled overtime (Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) the meal is due 'when overtime work exceeds eight (8) hours'; the calculator uses 10 h every day. Where the station uses two 15-minute breaks around the lunch instead, a missed one is 15 minutes and the calculator pays 30. You're paid for a break only if you stay at least 2 h past it (16.100 iii). On a 5×8 the count is the meal rule only.
