What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- Maintenance (NMA / GPMA). On an unscheduled 12-h day 15.600 words the meal break as 30 minutes at straight time (10 straight + ½ h straight + 1½ double on a 4×10); the calculator pays every 12-h day the turnaround way, $26.75 more for a journeyperson.
- Maintenance (NMA / GPMA). Long-term GPMA maintenance employees earn 7–10% vacation pay by years of service (GPMA 19.101); the calculator pays 6% for everyone, so past three years add the difference yourself (1% of wages a step, about $51 a week at 7% on a 7&7 of twelves).
Enter your own hours in the Insulator Cheque app: it applies these rates, the overtime and holiday rules, dues and tax, and keeps a year of cheques. Free for a month.
