What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- Industrial construction (Part A). On an overtime day the agreement pays the rate in force around the break (double after the tenth hour), and on a day over 11 h the calculator cannot tell a missed break from a missed meal, so the first count also brings the 10.01 payment.
- Maintenance (NMA / GPMA). On an 11- or 11½-hour day where the overtime was scheduled and a meal break was taken, add the half hour yourself (an unscheduled extension of up to one hour on a 4×10 owes no meal, 15.600).
- Maintenance (NMA / GPMA). The calculator adds the $40 on every such day except one with living-out ticked; on scheduled overtime or at a GPMA camp site, take it off. Nothing of this applies inside a rotation shift (below).
- Maintenance (NMA / GPMA). Long-term GPMA employees move to 7–10% after 3+ years of service by the GPMA ladder, which the calculator does not step; read the stub.
Enter your own hours in the Labourer Cheque app: it applies these rates, the overtime and holiday rules, dues and tax, and keeps a year of cheques. Free for a month.
